WAVE 3 Louisville Weather Examine App

Just plain awful!!

I really try to support the local folks, plus I feel like they are more accurate with their forecast. However, every update comes with more ads they literally make the app unusable. Stay away.

As hard as they push this app in the broadcasts and commercials, you’d expect it to maybe give the actual news forecasts with expected snow totals etc. Instead you get the morning weather update that has a weatherman talk about traffic for 3 minutes and ending with “we will have the predicted snow totals coming up” , then another lengthy plug for this app (one the app) and then NO ACTUAL FORECAST! The next weather forecast video is 5 hours later and is once again the weatherman talking about traffic for 40 seconds along with an hourly bit showing snow every hour until freezing rain, but no totals predicted. This app was trash long ago and I deleted it long ago. I downloaded again ahead of this snowstorm only to find there is NO ACTUAL FORECAST AVAILABLE. It’s garbage and I’m deleting it for the last time. This is all besides the poor design, crashing and freezing that forces you to close and restart it, and most loathsome of all, they will only ever refer to the area in question as WAVE COUNTRY. Just how cheesy can you possibly get? Truly awful, lame, gag inducing, and makes me hate this app even more. No thanks!

Weather app is ok when it works but often stalls and difficult to go back from where you came. Lots of endless loops so I need to delete and reinstall about once a month. Frustrating.

This has been my go-to app for weather for years, but not now. Immediately below the 10-day forecast they are selling sex. While the world may have no problem with such ads, I do. I have deleted it the app. (Also I could not find any provision to comment on the app… went to their website, no provision there either for feedback. I guess they don’t want to know how they are doing)

Really I juts get here to see the weather and you have inappropriate ads in your app with woman butts and stuff from temu I will not use your app again

I love this app, just knowing that I have something to keep me informed about the weather 24/7 is very reassuring. Thank you for keeping us safe.

If it wasn’t for the commercials I’d give it 5 stars. But the commercials shouldn’t be on the weather. Only because of severe weather. Nobody wants to watch a commercial to find out about severe weather! Time is important when it comes to bad weather. The commercials are longer than the the weather videos. Do better!

This is one of the best weather apps I’ve used thus far! The only complaint I have is the repetitive advertisements. If you press the video a wrong way it will restart the entire thing along with the ad. Still gets 5 stars from me because the weather cameras are a plus.

There has to be some kind of good update for this app. This app has become extremely slow and this is a app issue and not a user issue. Nothing opens like it supposed to, the home screen takes forever to actually get to the weather. But you guys won’t fix anything that needs to be fixed. WDRB weather app is not this bad.

Accurate local weather with crucial updates. Lots of Skytrack cameras to see what is going on all around the coverage areas.

This app constantly says it will rain and usually doesn’t. Sends me notifications when lightning is 11.9 miles away but not directly over me.

This latest version has been crashing nearly every time I switch from the home page to the daily or radar???

The radar is not accurate for my area .

The format of this app looks great! The problem is it hardly ever works right. Until they fix it don’t waste your time. I had it downloaded for less than 2 days and only got it to work right once. Good luck.

App not opening on Ipad 6th gen, IOS 17.0.3 (updated 10/4) and previous version, hasn’t worked for one to two weeks. Have the app on IPhone 14 also updated to IOS 17.0.3. Haven’t had any issues, maybe pertains to IPadOS. Tried deleting and reinstalling app twice with no luck.

The app is generally very good, however in trying to enhance it, the radar feature has become so cluttered with uncontrollable overlays you can really see the precipitation and approaching storms. And you can’t effectively turn them off And the iPad version doesn’t work in Ios17

Wave is the most accurate weather station for local weather in our area. They take more into account than the national weather service. Just my opinion, but overtime it has worked out that way.

I deleted all my other weather apps. Even in Panama City I was kept informed !! Love my Wave !!

I so very much appreciate the laughter and the smiles I’ve had from watching and am great full for the hard work all of you put in to keep us safe from storms “between you and me the storms and the lightnin bugs are my favorite 😉” lol the little people around us are great full for the heads up where storms are concerned 😆 truly it helps us plan the day.. 🤣 also little Ryder Jaxon asked me to PLEASE ask OUR WEATHER MAN 🤣🤣😂 to wait on any more storms UNTIL the fireworks are over. This is a great app! Keep up the great work! It’s the best free weather app out there. I’ve compared many; this one is the most accurate for Louisville that I’ve found, and you can get weather for other places too. Most (if not all) of the other free weather apps I’ve used, have either completely eliminated future radar, or drastically reduced the time it shows. Not this one! It even has 24 hour future radar (far better than anyone else), as well as past, past and future, and a shorter-term future. Note: it’s currently defaulting to 24 hour future, but you can change that using the three dots on the right. Thanks for sharing this with our community!

The perception on the radar glitches and the app has to be closed and reopened after about 10 seconds of being open.

I love to see every day mi weather for this app

I have so much anxiety and for me and my family. I still get worried looking at it but, it helps me summarize the whole radar down! Thank’s Wave 3 Team!

Sometimes it doesn’t show any storms but yet I can see lightning and rain but it wasn’t showing up on the radar.

Since the recent update you can no longer change the radar and whether it shows past, past & future or further. It’s stuck on future and I don’t want that. FIX IT!!!

I don’t like the new format. It is harder to follow.

I can't figure out how to change this WAVE 3 setting. When there's a weather update, I just want to hear the update. Instead I hear, "There's a weather update from Wave 3." Then I need to open the app to hear/see what the update is. I just want to hear the update. Not a notification that there has been an update.

Okay so here is my issues!! My app will show differently than my Husband and My Daughters, forecasting and wording different..Secondly when I watch the videos that are posted with the forecast and it will cut off to to a ad and when it comes back on it switches to the next video..Kinda aggravating that I can’t watch n see what the forecast is going to be especially when severe weather is involved!! Yes my App is up to date!! I have checked multiple times and there is update available!!

The app is full of commercials. Starting up time is not good. The app needs a major revamp. I realize you have to have money, but do you have to have that many commercials? Also, there are very few updates during the day. I will try it again in six months.

Every time I get a notification that there is a snow warning, or anything like that, it’s always a video I have to watch. If I am at work, I am not wanting to watch a video.. I understand that you have to hit the unmute, but if it’s a video, then what’s the sense?

Wave has the best accurate weather forecast in our area! As is the news department! It’s my go to news and weather station!!

Weather alerts come when there is nothing bad happening or coming. Then, if you open it to see the alert, it is not ready to play the “loop”. Relatively USELESS and ANNOYING. Chazz622
